NIP stun Vitality to book Fall Final spot

Vitality heads to Knockout Stage

The Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP) booked their spot in the Fall Final as they stunned Vitality 2-0 following a solid performance from hampus and co. NIP now are headed to the Royal Arena.

The Ninjas' pick of Mirage was up first and it was the Ninjas who built a three-round lead to kick things off on their T start before Vitality got their first round. After a strong start from hampus and co., Vitality pulled things back to tie the game at 5-5 before ending the half with a 8-7 lead.

ZywOo kicked off the second with an ace clutch but NIP responded back with a force buy to keep Vitality's lead to one. The Ninjas built on the force buy to go 13-9 up before Vitality got their second T round and a 1v2 on the B site from the French star saw Vitality bring it back to a one-round game. An apEX triple kill saw Vitality tie up the game but headtr1ck answered with a triple of his own to make sure the Ninjas kept the lead. A headtr1ck and k0nfig full house on the B site gave Ninjas map point and they closed it out at 16-13. For the Ninjas it was headtr1ck and Brollan on top of the scoreboard with 23 kills each while k0nfig had a strong map too with 22 kills.

Back-to-back impactful rounds from the young AWPer helped NiP close out Mirage

The second map was Vitality's pick of Overpass with the recent Major champions starting on the T side. NIP took the pistol and were 3-0 up before Vitality got their first round on the back of upgraded pistols and two saved guns. Vitality tied the game at 4-4 before a k0nfig triple at Monster saw NIP secure their fifth round. Vitality made sure NIP didn't run away with the half as they pulled back to score to 8-7 in their favour.

Brollan was stellar throughout the series

Impactful pistol from k0nfig saw NIP tie the game at 8-8 and conversions against the eco and force buy saw them go 10-8 up. Back-to-back multi-kill rounds from ZywOo on the A site saw Vitality take the lead of the map at 11-10 but Ninjas kept it close as they kept trading rounds. Ninjas eventually were the first to get to 14. A REZ and k0nfig double put NIP on map and series point. A flameZ triple on a mixed buy from Vitality gave Vitality their 14th but it was NIP who closed the map at 16-14.

It was Brollan leading from the front on Overpass, with 27 kills as the Swede ended the series with 50 kills having an impactful series.

lmao what a comparison but true yeah, they're v unpredictable and tbh their main stars REZ and Brollan are v v inconsistent, Brollan can do this (against VIT) and then go absolutely missing for 3-4 matches.
