"We knew we could have won today" - gump

Revenant Esports has finally broken the flawless streak of Enigma Esports in the Skyesports Masters. After the 2-1 victory, we got a chance to talk to gump from Revenant Esports, and here's what he had to say.

So you have finally managed to take down Enigma, who have had a remarkable showing so far this tournament. How does it feel?

It feels really good, to be honest. We knew we could have won today, and I am glad that we showed up, and we took the dub.

After losing to 7Sea on Anubis, how did you return and dedicate yourself to practice the map?

Yeah, we knew Engima was going to pick the map as well, so last few days, we have been full-going on Anubis practice. And just like making sure, we play the map to the level we want to play on. And I am really glad, that the practice was shown and we played really well on Anubis.

Your individual form was pretty high on Inferno, especially the T side. When you are hitting shots like that, how do you try to maintain that level of performance?

It’s just about entering the flow state. And once you are in that flow state, you don’t have to think about the mechanics and everything. Shots just hit.

One last question, Compared to the first match you played in the tournament, how far has the team come in terms of individual performance and team synergy? And do you think a lot of credit should go to Skyesports for coming up with these tournaments in India?

I think, individually we are all playing at the same level. It’s just that as a team, our synergy just gets better and better as we play. Like, the way we want to play, we understand more, how we want to do things on the map, we understand more. When we are all on the same page, it’s a lot easier to hit the shots and win the round. And with the Skyesports, it’s a really good tournament. It is going to help the Indian scene a lot. Especially with CS2 coming around the corner.
