Marcos Gaming wins hearts outside the server

In today’s match between Marcos Gaming and Revenant Esports, Marcos gaming gave a great display of sportsmanship and upheld the true spirit of competition. In the second map of the series, Revenant Esports was in the lead by a significant margin when they had to call a tech pause. As revealed by Skyesports in a later tweet, Revenant was dealing with heavy packet loss which forced them to pause the game.

However, according to the rules, each team has a set amount of tech pause time which can be utilised in a given game, thus when Revenant’s pause time came to an end, they had to start playing while still facing the packet loss.

Marcos Gaming recognised the issue and in order to maintain a level playing field, they used their own pause time to allow Revenant Esports to rectify the issue. The initial pause occurred in round 10 and was followed up by the second pause in round 12. Eventually Revenant was able to continue the match and proceeded to take a commanding victory over Marcos Gaming.

While the loss for Marcos will sting, their display of sportsmanship and proper conduct is something they can be proud of as they set an example of what it means to be professional for all Indian players.
