"We're like Starsky and Hutch" - Roflko on himself and yourwombat

Gods Reign concede 2-0 series to Enigma Gaming

Enigma Gaming now sit on 7 wins and just a single loss in the tournament after a convincing 2-0 against Gods Reign. We got a chance to talk to Roflko from Enigma Gaming and here's what he had to say about the match.

Went neck to neck on Vertigo and closed it out towards the end, can you talk about Vertigo?

"Vertigo was really good, we were happy with how the veto went. Pistol rounds were a bit rough but we had a good read on their gun rounds. We lost pistol rounds and consecutive rounds but when it came to gun rounds, I feel like we had a well-built understanding of how they play overall and that transferred over to Overpass as well. It just gave us confidence as team to get reads on them, like how they play and how we could counter them. Individually everyone played well, it was good fundamentals and good team play that got us over the edge."

A great CT-half on Overpass, can you talk us through that phase of the match?

"Once again, pistol rounds didn't go our way but when it came to gun rounds like I said, it was just good fundamentals, good map control, our utility was good, we were communicating really well. Each site understood what happening on the other site, each site understood the information that was being given so we had a good idea of which sites were in danger and we were able to reroute our numbers based on that. Overall, good teamplay and good flashes."

You and Will (yourwombat) have been consistent throughout the tournament, can you talk about your chemistry?

"Like I said previously, me and Will share a room, we even share a bed, so our chemistry and cohesion is quite high! We are literally together every minute of the day nearly, we're like Starsky and Hutch, we just relate and we don't even call anymore, we just telepathically talk to each other. As for the other teammates, we've come together really well as a team, everyone has trust in each other and I fell its the biggest thing. When you trust your teammates, you do whatever they say and vice-versa. Me and Will build that trust in and out of the server but also with the other teammates, we've developed a really good relationship, its a really important thing when you're winning or losing to have friends in and out of the server to help you out."
