Cloud9 keep Cologne dream alive

Cloud9 (C9) kept their Cologne dreams alive after taking down Monte, as they dream of having the full C9 roster at the Lanxess Arena is still alive for another day.

The opening map was Monte's pick of Anubis with C9 starting on the T side. C9 took the opening pistol but Monte responded with force buy and a Woro2K ace with the MP9 saw them go 3-1 up. kRaSnaL's 1v1 against sh1ro saw them make it five in a row but C9 managed to pull back the rounds and make it an 8-7 half in Monte's favour.

A br0 triple saw Monte take the second pistol and they were 12-7 up before C9 got their first CT round on a force buy. Both teams kept trading rounds but it was C9 who edged it out in end with a 16-14 as Perfecto and electroNic turned around a 2v3 in the final round of regulation.

sh1ro's quad kill on the pistol saw C9 take the first pistol, starting on the T side on Ancient and they were 4-0 up before Monte got their first defensive round thanks to a kRaSnaL FAMAS opener. It was another back-and-forth half with C9 taking a 9-6.

Monte picked up a crucial second pistol and they tied the game at 9-9. A sh1ro triple saw C9 get their first CT round and it was a close game till 11-11. 11 was all Monte could manage as electroNic read Monte like a book and with sh1ro stepping up with the AWP, it was a 16-11 win. sh1ro was unstoppable on Ancient, especially on the CT side, finishing with 29 kills.
