Gamers8 shows incorrect world map, sparks outrage

India among the countries with disfigured borders

In a promotional video, Gamers8 asked CS:GO pros to identify their current location on a world map. To the community's surprise, the world map Gamers8 showed was extremely inaccurate. On the map, the Saudi based organization pushed territories from India into China, their close strategic and political allies. Kashmir, the highly sensitive geo-political region was shown as a part of China, cutting it from the Indian border.

Additionally Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Bhutan and Nepal were also pushed into Chinese borders. While South Sudan went completely missing, Georgia was pushed into Russian borders among other disastrous inaccuracies. The community were outraged by the scale of these inaccuracies and took to X, writing about the issue. Despite the community bringing the issue to Gamers8's attention, the Saudi based organization has not made any efforts to issue a statement or rectify the issue at the time of publishing this article.

Gamers8's organization account has been extremely active on X from the past 24 hours, but has turned a blind-eye to the issue, raising more questions and speculations in the community on whether this version of the map is actually peddled within the country as the accurate one.

Dust2 - India has reached out to the tournament organisers, Gamers8 for a statement but have received none at the time of publishing this article.
