FaZe faces an early exit in Riyadh

Another excruciating loss for FaZe as they get bested by VP 2-1

FaZe kicked off the CT proceedings on VP's chosen Mirage in a stellar fashion, securing an impressive 3-0 lead at the start. Qikert secured some crucial entries in two rounds to give VP a breakthrough, as they leveled the score at 3-3. Despite VP's strong contention, FaZe managed to gain an economic advantage over VP at 5-5, thanks to rain and broky's clutch performances in two separate 1v2 situations. It allowed FaZe to finish the first half convincingly with a commanding 9-6 lead.

The second half would have been a lot closer had FaZe not secured the initial three rounds to extend their lead to 12-6. As VP dominated in the buy rounds and it became hard for FaZe to get openings, the significant lead they had dwindled to 12-10. However, to overthrow VP's momentum, FaZe executed a fast A rush with deagles, and managed to win the round courtesy of openers from rain and ropz. rain then won another round as he came in huge for FaZe with a 1v3 clutch. It disrupted the economy of VP enabling FaZe to secure a 16-11 victory.

On the T side of Inferno, VP denied a 1v2 clutch to secure the pistol but immediately got answered by karrigan, who chimed in with a 4k to win the subsequent round. FaZe then surged ahead with a 5-round spree, extending the lead to 6-1. VP responded on a budget buy, swarming the A site with tec-9s to secure a breakthrough. In the final stages of the first half, VP managed to stage recovery, ending with a competitive score of 7-8.

VP kicked off their T-campaign on Overpass in a blistering fashion, as they headed to a 5-0 start. On the back off FL1T who was firing on all cylinders, they managed to extend the lead to 7-1. However, displaying impeccable resilience, FaZe staged a recovery, overtaking VP as they led with a 8-7 score going into the second half. However, still a long road ahead of them, they lost the pistol, as Jame chimed in with a 3k to secure the 5v5 retake.

It propelled VP to a 12-8 half, before FaZe found its footing on the T-side. Even though Twistzz and rain provided crucial openings to take the score to 14-10, the rounds were still extremely close, keeping FaZe's money in check. Consequently, winning one round allowed VP to take the lead to 14-10. However, FaZe answered back with an unexpected force buy round, breaking the economy of VP. As the game came down to the wire, the 4v4 save on the 29th round paid off for VP, as they convincingly shut down their attack in the last round, edging them out 16-14 again.
