Bullet penetration system, among things reworked in this update

All nine CS2 maps added to limited test

Competitive matchmaking remains disabled

In what looks like a concluding update to the Counter-Strike 2 limited test, Valve has added all maps that have been shipped for CS2 so far, into the casual matchmaking pool. Competitive matchmaking remains disabled for the time being, indicating that there is some kind of rework in progress.

The reintroduction of these maps could signify that we're towards the closing phase of the limited test

The maps that have appeared in the CS2 limited test so far are -

  • Dust 2

  • Mirage

  • Nuke

  • Overpass

  • Vertigo

  • Office

  • Ancient

  • Anubis

  • Italy

Additionally, the bullet penetration system has been reworked and an issue where bombs would sink when dropped in water has been fixed.

Here are Valve's release notes for the update -

  • All maps previously shipped in the Limited Test are available in casual and deathmatch matchmaking

  • All maps and game modes previously shipped in the Limited Test are available for offline play
