Lynn Vision send TheMongolz into the lower bracket

TheMongolz concede Nuke, Anubis 2-0 to Lynn Vision despite securing early advantage

Lynn Vision got their IEM Sydney 2023 Asia Closed Qualifier against TheMongolz in their best-of-three as they fought it out for not only a spot in IEM Sydney 2023 but also to prove themselves as one of Asia's best.

Lynn Vision got off to a rather shaky start on on the T-side of Nuke, managing just to secure just 3 rounds here and there separating TheMongolz 3-streak winning rounds every now and then. Towards the end of the half Lynn Vision gained much needed momentum, to secure a 9-6 half, still in favor of TheMongolz.

Lynn Vision showed no signs of slowing down as they rode the momentum and strung up a staggering 8-rounds winning streak to start off their CT-side. Combined with the previous half, TheMongolz finally put an end to Lynn Vision's 11-round streak at 11-14. It was too little and too late, as Lynn Vision had built up a bank to buy for the rest of the match and indeed closed out Nuke 11-16, dropping just 2 rounds on their CT-side, going 1-0 up in the series.

bLitz dropped 26 frags at an ADR of 101 on Nuke but was not enough to take TheMongolz across the line

mzinho struck red hot form straight out the gate, taking TheMongolz off a strong 8-1 start on the T-side of Anubis. It was map 1 all over again, as Lynn Vision capitalized on TheMongolz's mistakes, making them pay to secure a respectable 6-9 half in the CT side of Anubis. Considering the T-sidedness of Anubis, Lynn Vision looked good to close out the map and the series.

Disaster struck again for TheMongolz as Lynn Vision started their T-side with a 3-round winning streak, levelling the score at 9-9 and breaking the CT-economy. 6 rounds into the second half, TheMongolz won their first CT-side round at 12-10, off of 910's individual brilliance on the A-site with the AWP.

TheMongolz fight tooth and nail, reaching 13-14 but Starry nearly clutched a deagle 1v3 but TheMongolz hung on by the skin of their teeth, levelling the score at 14-14. At 14-14, a EmiliaQAQ clutched out a close 1v1, as Lynn Vision walked to match point at 14-15. TheMongolz were left to fight with their backs against match point, with broken economy and Lynn Vision comfortably closed out Anubis 16-14 and the series 2-0.
