Revenant Esports secures their spot as the first Finalist at Skyesports Masters
The much anticipated first semi-final took us to an intense matchup between 7SEA Esports and Revenant Esports. Revenant kicked things off on the CT side of Ancient by converting the first three rounds led by SKw0w with 7 kills. The first buy round didn't go as planned for 7SEA as f1redup and 3nable joined forces to shut down the advances of four T's trying to enter A. In a desperate 1v3, ELV1S pulled off an impressive clutch that injected much-needed energy into his team. It ignited a 5-round spree from 7SEA to lead 5-3. However, 7SEA's momentum eventually faded, giving SKw0w the opportunity to shine with his impressive 1.76 rating on the CT side, as Revenant recovered to a 9-6 score.

Revenant's T-side journey started smoothly, cruising to a 13-7 lead, powered by Gump who stepped up to the challenge. ELV1S once again posed as an indomitable threat, as he rose to the occasion with a couple of key desert eagle entries to reclaim a round and put 7SEA back on their feet. While 7SEA claimed three consecutive rounds to support the effort, Gump's 1v3 seemed to seal the deal, as Revenant reached match point in the very next round.

Facing no margin for error, 7SEA launched their comeback bid. From 15-10, they strung together 5 rounds in a row to tie the score up and head to overtime. Carrying their potent CT momentum, they clinched the CT half seamlessly, securing three rounds. While Revenant clung to the game with all their might by getting two more rounds, they stumbled in the final round as Bhavi called an explosive A rush, leading the charge himself. 7SEA came on top of the round and concluded the match 19-17.

As the game moved to the second map Mirage, Revenant took on the offensive by claiming the first two rounds. However, once the buy rounds began, 7SEA repeated the narrative by showing better results. They capitalized on the discombobulated attacks of the T-s and gained momentum for 6 consecutive rounds as Bhavi started pulling his weight on the defense. However, still keeping their second wind, Revenant fought back with SpawN chiming in with key entries propelling his team to 9 rounds at halftime.

The second half kicked off with 7SEA swiftly dismantling the defenses, leveling the score at 10-10, despite a minor setback during the first buy round. However, the tide changed again in the favor of Revenant as it was once again Gump taking matters into his own hands on the defenses. The CTs went to an onslaught, taking the score to 16-11 to keep the ball rolling, as the game headed to the decider.

On the CT side of the final map Inferno, 7SEA hit the ground running by converting the initial three rounds. While Revenant was able to get early man advantages as the map unfolded, they were never able to find a strong foothold. Then a disaster occurred on round 8th when against all odds 7SEA secured a 2v4 B retake with measly USP-S. It spiraled into them losing a streak of advantageous post-plant situations as 7SEA surged to a 10-2 score. Revenant found their resurgence late into the half as Gump took strides to lead his team to a 10-5 recovery.

After an intense pistol round which ultimately saw CycloneF come on top after securing a 1v2, 7SEA extended their lead to 12-5. However, as the buy rounds were unveiled, the stars of Revenant spearheaded the revitalization, as SKw0w, f1redup, and Gump started putting up numbers. It spelled disaster for 7SEA with the lead dwindling to 12-11. In dire straits, Benzene and DiceDealer rose to the occasion with 2k a piece, to put his team back to winning ways. Poised to At 14-11, the game turned tides again, as Revenant converted a 5v4 B retake with mostly pistols in their artillery. In an edge-of-the-seat conclusion, Revenant made the comeback possible by the slimmest of margins, securing a victory with a nail-biting score of 16-14.
