BIG outpace Heroic in a thrilling exchange

It took a total of 77 rounds in 2 maps for BIG to defeat Heroic

BIG kicked off the T-side of the first map Ancient with a classic B rush, as a clean opener allowed them the plant which they were able to defend. BIG extended the lead further to 4-0 before Heroic answered back with a force-buy victory to put their first at 1-4. Two heroic rounds coming from mantuu and tabseN allowed them to take their tally to 6 before Heroic found some footing on their T-side to chain together a couple of rounds. However, it was tabseN once again to provide the breakthrough, as his tec-9 claimed the scalp of an over-advancing stavn to ultimately win a round with 3 pistols and 2 AKs. the sheer tenacity of the BIG attacks were too much for Heroic to handle, as they surged to 11 rounds at the end of the first half.

The game was looking to be a lopsided affair as BIG claimed the opening three rounds to take their score to 14-4. With just two rounds away from victory, Heroic began to find answers on their T-side. With B being the hotspot of the engagements, Heroic retaliated with 5 rounds. Although BIG reached match point at 15-9, Heroic refused to back down and embarked on a remarkable comeback journey. They won six rounds in a row, with Jabbi making significant contributions and stavn providing crucial entries, forcing the game into overtime. It took three laps of overtimes to determine the winner, and in the end, BIG emerged victorious with a 25-23 score, claiming their map pick.

On their map pick Inferno, Heroic hit the ground running by claiming the first 4 rounds of their T-side. It was mantuu to provide the breakthrough, as he lit up the scoreboard with a quick double to post the first round for his team. Heroic then denied BIG momentum by pulling a round right back by a swift B take. However, mantuu continued to remain a thorn in the side of the Danes, as his combat AWPing allowed them to post their second. BIG were able to turn the tides with rifles galore, as they put a leash on Heroic's explosive attacks with well-timed utility. As a result, they ended up claiming 8 rounds on their CT side.

BIG got off to a scorching start on their T-side, notching the first 4 rounds to take the score to 12-7. Heroic fought back with some close rounds, as they narrowed the gap to 13-11. The match transformed into an absolute thriller, showcasing a rollercoaster of events. First, there was a heart-pounding 1v1 exchange, with prosus narrowly missing his spray on sjuush, who stuck the defuse, after his valiant effort during a post-plant 1v3 situation. Despite that, BIG responded with a pistol win, executing a rapid rush out of the apartments. In the very next round, it was Heroic who responded with a force buy win of their own. In the end, it was BIG who managed to maintain their composure, keeping their nerves steady, and ultimately closing out the game with a 16-13 victory.
