Vitality hammer NIP to make ESL Pro League 18 Playoffs
An ESL Pro League Season 18 Playoffs spot was on the line when Vitality took on Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP) but it turned out to be a lopsided affair instead of a close match.
The opening map was NIP's pick of Mirage with NIP starting on the T side. A Brollan triple saw NIP take the pistol but Vitality bounced back with the force buy and then went on to get eight in a row to win out the half at 8-1. Vitality took 11 in a row before NIP got their second round of the half. Two rounds were all NIP got as it was a 13-2 half in Vitality's favour with Spinx ending the opening half with 23 kills.

headtr1ck denied Spinx a 1v3 to give NIP both pistols on Mirage but like the first half Vitality once again walked away with the force buy as Spinx's triple deagle helped Vitality pick up their 14th. Vitality closed the map at 16-3 with Spinx ending the opening map with 31 kills and an ADR of 149.
Vitality's pick of Nuke was the second map and a hampus triple saw them pick up the pistol on the CT side. Once again Vitality picked up the force buy and it was a flameZ triple on 1HP that helped them tie up the game early on. hampus' 1v1 against ZywOo on the B site kept NIP in the map at 3-3. It looked like NIP would begin to build a big lead but ZywOo came in with a 1v2 to keep it to a one round game to end NIP's four round streak. It was NIP though who ended the half with a slender lead at 8-7 as headtr1ck came in with a couple of crucial multi-kill rounds towards the end of the half.
It was a clean pistol from Vitality to get the second half underway to tie the score at 8-8 and after converting against the force and eco , they were 10-8. A Brollan opener at ramp saw NIP pick up the first gun round but that one round was all that NIP could manage as Vitality closed it out with a six round streak to take the map 16-9 and close the series 2-0. The win also kept Vitality's win streak on Nuke alive, which was up to 17 now.
