Heroic start strong in ESL Pro League Season 18
Heroic got their ESL Pro League Season 18 campaign underway against the Oceanic contenders, Rooster. The match on paper was heavily in favour of the Danes and the Danes made sure there were no upsets as they brushed aside Rooster with relative ease.
Rooster's pick of Inferno was first up with the Danes starting on the CT side. TjP managed to hold on to deny TeSeS and jabbi a 2v4 on the A site, as Rooster picked up the pistol. Heroic force bought and cadiaN's aggresive mid push helped Heroic bounce right back to tie up the game. The Danes converted against Rooster's force buy and eco before the Oceanic team got out the guns. stavn's aggressive mid ventures saw the Danes take the first gun round and they Danes put up an impenetrable defence. A cadiaN 1v3 saw Heroic secure their tenth and it was a 13-2 lead for Heroic at the half with nettik winning out a 1v1 against TeSeS in the final round of the first half to see Rooster get their second round.

A well-oiled B execute from the Danes saw them pick up the second pistol and Heroic kept their T side flawless to close Inferno at 16-2.
The second map was Heroic's pick of Mirage with Rooster starting on the defensive side. Heroic kicked things off with a quick B hit to pick up the pistol. Heroic picked up the first two rounds before Rooster turned around a 4v5 in the first gun round thanks to a crucial TjP double to get on the board in the third round. Heroic bounced right back as they walked into an empty A site. Rooster answered back with an asap double opener but a TeSeS 1v2 saw the teams continue to trade rounds. Rooster got their fourth round as chelleos came in with a triple kill with a saved AWP to double their round tally from the previous map but four was all they could manage as it was a 11-4 lead for Heroic at the end of the first half.

Rooster started the second half with a instant B hit and two ADK openers saw them lie with a 5v3 advantage. sjuush's quad kill helped the Danes turn it around to pick up both pistols on Mirage as the Danes just seemed to be in an unforgiving mood. sjuush made it back-to-back quad kills to kick the second half off and it was a flawless CT side from the Danes as they closed out Mirage at 16-4 and picked up a comfortable 2-0 to start the EPL campaign.
