FACEIT welcomes CS2 with a $100,000 prize pool

• They're launching the FPL Proving Grounds: The Ultimate Path to Pro with a big $100,000 prize and direct invites to FPL for the best 'challenger' players. 'Challenger' is a new rank for the top 1,000 players in Europe, South America, and North America. This rank comes with monthly stipends and leads to FPL for the top three challengers in the FPL Proving Grounds.

• The FPL Proving Grounds will happen every four months, replacing the old qualification methods. Now, getting into FPL is more accessible, and linked directly to your ranking in Europe, North America, or South America.

• They've also added a server selector feature for European players, letting them choose from different server locations to improve connectivity and reduce language barriers. To keep things fair, they've raised the map selection requirement for premium subscribers.

• They've also tweaked the Elo system, making it easier to move up from lower ranks and making high ranks more challenging. This elo reset will happen regularly.

In order to tackle smurfing and the abuse of multiple accounts, they've introduced four new features :

• Expanded ID Verification Enforcement

• Mandatory Anti-Cheat

• Verified Matching

• Elo Penalties for Unbalanced Parties
