Dominant India gets the better of Bangladesh

Team India one step away from the trophy

The final round of qualification games, for the Grand Final of the Skyesports Souvenir 2023 International, saw Team India being represented by Gods Reign take on Red Viperz who were representing Team Bangladesh. While India had already qualified for the Grand Finals, having won all of their games and were looking to keep their flawless record intact, Bangladesh were trying to get a much needed win to keep the Grand Final's dreams alive.

Bangladesh's pick of Vertigo got the series underway and it was Bangladesh converting a 3v4 to take the opening pistol. Mantis with a 1v4 saw Bangladesh hold on against the force. Bangladesh got a 3-0 start before clouda quad kill saw India get on the board. It was Bangladesh who took a lead at 8-7 but after taking the second pistol, India were able to tie the game before Bangladesh retook the lead with a force buy win. The rounds were being traded back and forth before clouda and reV3nnnn put their foot down to see India secure the opening map at 16-13.

India's map pick was that of Ancient and it was India taking the opening pistol starting on the T side, converting a 3v5. Continuous mid-splits to the A site saw India win the half early on at 8-2 and it was a 12-3 lead for the Indian team. Bangladesh took a much needed second pistol but India stole away the force buy with Ph1NNN coming in with an impactful round. A clouda 1v3 saw India secure map and series point and India took a comfortable win on Ancient at 16-6.

With the win, India advance onto the Grand Finals with a flawless win record and will hope to close out the event in the same manner.
