ENCE edge out fnatic
Starting off on the CT-side of Overpass, ENCE got off to a 3-1 start but fnatic caught up quickly and traded rounds back and forth for the rest of the half to end it on an even 6-6 score line. The sides switched and things quickly went wrong for ENCE.
Having won the pistol round to start off the second half, ENCE lost the anti-eco, off of which fnatic strung up 4 in a row. Dropping just 2 rounds in the second half, fnatic reached match point and eventually closed out Overpass 13-10, going 1-0 up in the series. mezii put up an ADR of 122 on fnatic’s CT-side.
On Anubis roeJ found form right away and despite conceding the initial couple of rounds, fnatic managed to penetrate ENCE’s CT-defense. With ENCE securing a couple of rounds here and there, fnatic took a crucial 8-4 lead in their first half, taking full advantage of the map’s T-sidedness.
It was now ENCE’s turn to take advantage of the T-side and with SunPayus and Maden stepping up, fnatic’s lead was neutralized at 10–10. fnatic could only secure 2 rounds on their CT-side as ENCE closed out Anubis 13-10, off of a 5-round win streak, levelling the series at 1-1.
Carrying over his form from Anubis, Maden gave ENCE a good start on the T-side of vertigo. After stealing the anti-eco, fnatic went 5-2 but ENCE turned things around and didn’t drop a single round throughout the half from that point onwards, securing a 7-5 half in their favor.
fnatic levelled the score at 7-7, starting off the second half but ENCE’s T-side struck back with a 3-round streak. It was the veteran, KRIMZ who had taken matters into his own hands, fragging out for fnatic. The trio of Maden, Dycha and SunPayus took ENCE over the line, closing out Vertigo 13-10 and the series 2-1.
