MOUZ book top four spot in Sydney
With both teams having secured their Playoffs spot, MOUZ faced BetBoom in the Group A upper bracket final as both teams were looking to book a direct spot to the semi-finals.
BetBoom's pick of Mirage was the opener as they kicked things off on the T side. It was BetBoom running away with the half before MOUZ managed to put together three rounds to close out the half, although BetBoom took a 9-3 lead.
A frozen 1v3 powered MOUZ to take the match to overtime and it was MOUZ who managed to turn it around to secure the map in second overtime at 19-15.
BetBoom started MOUZ's pick of Ancient with a pistol win on the CT side and it was yet another strong opening half from BetBoom as they went to take an 8-4 lead. While MOUZ threatened to pull off another comeback, it was BetBoom who managed to close it out this time at 13-7.
Overpass was the decider with MOUZ starting with a T-sided pistol win to get things underway. It was a slender lead for MOUZ at 7-5 at the end of the half and while the second half was also a close one, it was MOUZ managing to deny BetBoom an opportunity to take it to overtime as siuhy and co. closed out Overpass at 13-10 to secure the series 2-1.
Although both teams had already qualified, with the win, MOUZ secures a top four spot.
