Big update regarding the infamous Indian player
Nikhil "Forsaken" Kumawat's five-year ban, which was imposed after he was caught using cheats during the eXTREMESLAND Asia Finals, is set to expire in a week.
The incident unfolded when tournament administrators, upon inspecting his PC, detected a suspicious program running in the background, which Forsaken tried to quickly delete. Subsequent investigations confirmed his cheating, resulting in Optic India's disqualification from the tournament. Soon after Optic India released the roster.
Upon more investigation, ESIC also collected shreds of evidence revealing him using the same software at the ESL India Premiership Fall Finale in September, which they had won.
As a result, he was handed a 5 year ban from all esports-related activity for or with any ESIC member organization.
