reV3nnnn: "I don't think anyone is at their peak in CS2"

Gods Reign kicked off their DreamHack Hyderabad campaign with a loss against Enigma Gaming on Anubis. Post the BO1 loss, we had a brief chat with reV3nnnn from Gods Reign. Here is what he had to say.

You only managed 4 rounds on your CT side, what went wrong?

We were struggling to make the right decisions on the CT side. We also whiffed individually. But most of all, even though we expected them to play like this, they still surprised us. They were playing really aggressive, and they won the momentum.

Were you looking for more rounds on your CT side to make a comeback in the second half?

In the pistol round we got the opening but we couldn't convert the 2v2 because of lack of communication. They once again got early momentum on the T-side.

Rossi earlier highlighted that Gods Reign is not at their peak right now. Do you think you are struggling in the new game?

I don't think anyone is at their peak in CS2. Just because they won the first two games, I don't think we can call it anyone's peak. If they win the event, maybe. The game is the same, despite the minor differences in the mechanics. At the end of the day, the team with better comms and basics will win.

Do you feel more confident knowing the next match is on Inferno?

It's not about being more confident on Inferno, we even scrim against European teams on Anubis. But on Inferno we will try to minimize the basic mistakes we did on Anubis.
