DreamHack Hyderabad 2023 Day 2: Recap

After a tech delay filled opening day, it was a smoother second day at DreamHack Hyderabad 2023 as we saw another six BO1s and our final three Playoff teams were also finalised.

The second day kicked off with Gods Reign fighting to stay alive against Firedup Gaming. After losing both their matches to Enigma Gaming on the opening day, Gods Reign bounced back strongly against Firedup Gaming as it looked like they were getting back to their old selves. The joy was short-lived though as Firedup Gaming stunned them in the second game on Mirage, brushing them aside and leaving their Playoffs hopes hanging by a thread.

Revenant kicked off the second round of games against Team Respect with a dominating win on Ancient and it was the double from Bhavi and the boys on Anubis as they sent the veterans home without a win and booked their Playoffs spot.

The final round of games saw Firedup Gaming face Enigma Gaming as Firedup were one win away from booking their spot in the top four. Firedup shut down Enigma in the first of their two games, which saw Firedup book their Playoffs spot at the expense of Gods Reign and it also meant Enigma Gaming qualified for the Playoffs.

Firedup ended the Group Stages as Group B topper after 2-0ing Enigma and head into the Playoffs high on confidence.
