Gh0sTTTT: "Every round DEFAULTER said we need discipline"

Marcos Gaming enter the final after a 13-0 score on decider

After a blazing performance in the final map Inferno of the first semi-final at DreamHack Hyderabad, we sat down with the MVP of the game, Gh0sTTTT, to talk about his performance.

So with what mindset did you enter the match? We saw you get a bit carried away on Mirage.

We were pretty confident about the game. We knew we were going to do our best. We were well prepared on all the maps so we wanted to win 2-0. But, they prepared very well on Mirage. They isolated the sites well. In the beginning we couldn't figure out their game plan instantly. So we sent Mcg1LLzZz top mid to check if they were holding it. So when Mcg1LLzZz started knowing no one is mid, we started gambling either A or B. That is how we made the comeback.

On T side, there was this one round where you were against an eco and died by rushing without using your utility efficiently. What happened?

There was lack of communication on the T-side. I told my teammates I am going to go full W. If I get one pick, I get it, if I die, it's up to you. So I already made my decision and told them.

We have seen Marcos get slightly overconfident and then lose the momentum. How did you counter that today?

So every round Ritesh (DEFAULTER) said, 'We need discipline. We know we are getting each round but we need to focus. Don't disrespect the opponents. Be in discipline, play your game,' And that's how it worked.

When we talk about Marcos Gaming, we think of DEFAULTER, we think of Mcg1LLzZz, how do you find your own space to perform?

I usually go off spawn. On CT, If I get a good spawn, I ask DEFAULTER to let me get a pick. I ask him to support me with utilities, if it happens it's great, otherwise I will fall back to our defaults.

Marcos Gaming will now face the winner of the second semi-final (Revenant vs Firedup Gaming) in the Grand Final of DreamHack Hyderabad at 18:00 IST.
