NIP eliminates Wings Up
The Group B elimination game saw Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP) take on home team Wings Up as both teams were looking to keep themselves alive in the tournament.
Wings Up's pick of Ancient got the series underway and it was the Chinese starting with a 3-0 lead. It was a strong comeback on their CT half as NIP ended the half with a 8-4 up with a maxster 1v4 turning the momentum in NIP's favour.
Wings Up secured the second pistol but NIP answered back with the force which propelled them to a 13-6 win. It was NIP's stand-in maxster who stood out on the opening map with the Swede dropping 26 kills.
Overpass was NIP's pick as they got things off with a T sided pistol win, which was also their first pistol win of the series. It was another strong opening half from NIP at 9-3 and it was another 13-6 score-line which closed out the series 2-0 in NIP's favour.
NIP now will play ENCE in the quarter-finals of CAC 2023.
