Esportz Premier Series 2023: Qualifier 2 Day 2 recap
Fighting for a spot in the LAN grand finals against Gods Reign, the second CS2 qualifier of Esportz Premier Series 2023 entered Day 2, with four Bo1 matches lined up for the day. Here's a look at the second day's matches and results.
Usual Suspects vs 2ez Gaming
The first match of the day took us to Ancient, where both teams traded initial rounds but Usual Suspects managed keep a small lead for themselves, which they expanded into an 8-4 CT-half in their favor. Despite giving 2ez Gaming a little too much room at one point in the second half, Usual Suspects closed out Ancient 13-8.
ROG Academy vs aQuA Gaming
The Bo1 was played on Ancient with aQuA Gaming starting on the T-side, where they were at a 1-4 disadvantage early. A 3-round streak saw them levelling the score but ROG Academy put up a great CT-side to secure the half 8-4.
arakyNSQLF and KillSwiTcH stepped up for ROG Academy, stopping aQuA Gaming in their tracks. aQuA Gaming could only claw back a couple of rounds as ROG Academy closed out Ancient 13-7.
Revenant vs WINGS
Revenant started on the CT-side of Anubis trading rounds back and forth. Revenant took the first half 7-5, slightly in their favor. Ember's aggression netted him 21 frags in the first half alone. Without dropping a single round on their T-side, Revenant closed out Anubis 13-5.
BCB5 vs Kangleicha
BCB5 began their CT side on Inferno by getting a 4-0 start. While a 3k from ROISTA helped Kangleicha secure their first, BCB5 continued showing their strong defense. With SR18 contributing 19 kills in the first half, BCB5 secured 10 rounds at the end of the first half and concluded the game with a score of 13-2.
