Esportz Premier Series 2023: Qualifier 2 Day 1 recap

The second qualifier of the Esportz Premier Series 2023 got underway as the teams were battling it out for, not only the INR 1 lakh prize pool, but also trying to secure a spot in the LAN Finals against Gods Reign, who had qualified from Qualifier 1.

Fire5 Esports vs Team M5

The opening game of the first day of the Qualifier 2 saw Fire5 Esports take on Team M5 in the BO1 which took place on Ancient. Strong performances from VOLDEMORTT and maVerick2k saw Fire5 Esports start with a 10-2 start lead on their T side and they kept it clean on their CT to close the game at 13-2 to start their Qualifier 2 campaign with a bang.

Team Direct Gharpe vs plusW1

The second game of the day saw Ace's new team plusW1 take on Direct Gharpe with the action kicking off on Inferno. Direct Gharpe started with the opening pistol and conversion on their CT side before plusW1 got on the board. Both teams kept trading rounds as it was an even half at 6-6.

Another close half saw both teams trade rounds right from the get-go but it was Direct Gharpe hold on at 13-10 to take the win.
