Gods Reign go down fighting to GRAYHOUND

Indian team's strong start goes in vain

It was India’s best going up against the best in the OCE region as Gods Reign started their OneQode Frontier CS2 campaign underway against GRAYHOUND.

Gods Reign got the action underway in the BO1 on Ancient starting on the T side. Gods Reign had their coach PokemoN standing in for Ph1NNN, who was unavailable for the game.

Gods Reign secured the opening pistol and went on to take a 3-0 lead before GRAYHOUND got their full buy going. GRAYHOUND quickly tied up the game at 3-3. A f1redup multi-kill saw Gods retake the lead with their fourth round but it was short-lived as GRAYHOUND bounced right back to tie the score, shutting down Gods in the middle.

The rounds kept trading as a triple from Gods Reign's captain saw them tie things up at 5-5 and it was another incredible lurk from Crazy_Gamer that helped Gods Reign end the half at 6-6.

GRAYHOUND made sure the pistols were divided in the game as they started the second half with a clean pistol and converted against the force buy and eco to go 10-6 up. It was a near-flawless T side from GRAYHOUND as they closed out the map at 13-7 with Vexite topping the scoreboard.

While Gods Reign start the campaign with a loss, it's anything but over for the Indian team as its a long campaign in a round-robin format and will be back in the server later today for the second game against the Pacific Goons.

rite2ace's plusW1, which is the second Indian team in Group A with Gods Reign, had a better start to their campaign than Gods Reign as they took down Invictus 13-5.
