ESIC bans former MAJESTY and Project X owner

Serious breaches of ESIC's code of conduct uncovered

Alexey Shyshko was handed out a lifetime ban by ESIC for his involvement in “orchestrating match-fixing activities and facilitating cheating within various esports competitions”. He owns a few esports teams including Akuma, MAJESTY and Project X.

In their press release, ESIC have stated an incident where Alexey Shyshko facilitated a match-fixing agreement in a Bulgarian LAN event.

"This unprecedented sanction reflects the seriousness of Mr. Shyshko’s offenses and serves as a strong deterrent to others who might contemplate similar violations. "

While ESIC have stated that they are committed to handing down sanctions to entities associated with Shyshko's operations, they have offered immunity and anonymity to individuals who have cooperated and worked towards pushing the investigation in the right direction.

This is the first lifetime ban handed down by ESIC and its goes to show the magnitude of the offenses committed by Shyshko. ESIC have mentioned in their press release that Shysho has accepted the sanction without contesting.
