KingPins edge out Enigma Gaming to secure Grand Final berth
The second semi-final of The Dust2 India - 1XBET Cup Masters #5 with our Broadcast Partner Blink Entertainment got underway with KingPins’ map pick of Overpass. While Enigma Gaming started their CT campaign by securing the pistol, a 3k from Elv1s turned the tides in favour of KingPins as they secured the force buy round. However, as the half unfolded, Enigma dominated and secured an 8-4 lead at halftime.
Once in the second half, King KingPins found their footing, developing a streak despite losing the pistol. A technical issue temporarily sidelined ELV1S, preventing them from participating in a few rounds, yet KingPins didn’t let go of their momentum. They ended the game with a 13-9 victory, conceding only a single round in the second half.
The second map took us to Enigma’s map pick Mirage, where they commenced their T campaign with a staggering 6-0 start. However, KingPins regained control, securing 5 out of the remaining 6 rounds to narrow Enigma’s lead to 7-5.
The second half saw a back-and-forth affair, with each team securing fragments of momentum and trading 2 rounds each. However, with the help of hattygOD’s 1.32-rated performance, Enigma closed out the game 13-9.
The decider map took us to Ancient, where Enigma started off with a pistol win on the T-side. Despite a streak of 3 rounds for KingPins, Enigma dominated on their T-side, securing a 7-5 half.
However, once on the T-side, KingPins started wreaking havoc. With ELV1S powering the T-side with a K-D of 19-11, KingPins only conceded a single round to clinch a 13-8 victory and secure a spot in the Grand Finals.
