Media: Skyesports Championship 2024 location teased
Days after revealing their grand Counter-Strike plans for 2024, Skyesports' Founder and CEO Shiva Nandy has teased the location for one of the events on the calendar.
Earlier this week, Skyesports revealed their calendar for 2024 which included a total of six events spanned across the year, three of which are scheduled to be held outside India, with a cumulative prize pool of $1 million.
Shiva Nandy took to X today to discuss about the launch of the Khelo Youth Games, the 6th edition of which will be held between January 19 - January 31, 2024 across four cities in Tamil Nadu which are - Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai and Trichy.
In his Tweet, where he spoke about attending the launch of the launch ceremony of the Khelo Youth Games. also teased the location of Skyesports Championship 2024, hinting that it could be held in Chennai.
Although he did not mention which Championship event - the Skyesports Championship 6.0 is scheduled to be held in July 2024 with a prize pool of $150k. The Skyesports Championship 5.0, which was supposed to be held earlier in December this month was indefinitely postponed and no further updates have been given regarding when the event will be held.
It is unclear whether Nandy was talking about the Championship 5.0 or Championship 6.0 but his Tweet does potentially reveal the first location of Skyesports' Indian tournaments for 2024.
Skyesports' BGMI event is also held under the name of Skyesports Championship.
