Sources: Details revealed about rite2ace's return
Dust2 India has learnt from sources with knowledge of the situation that rite2ace's return to professional Counter-Strike is closer than one could imagine as Indian esports organisation Grayfox Esports is in advanced talks with rite2ace to sign him up for their first-ever Counter-Strike roster. Grayfox Esports currently has a roster in VALORANT.
One of the only five Indians to have played in a Counter-Strike Major from India, rite2ace was a household name in the Indian Counter-Strike scene before his move to VALORANT in 2020. Earlier this year rite2ace announced that he is returning to Counter-Strike and has been grinding it out with the plusW1 project which also includes Marzil, who is also reported to join rite2ace at Grayfox Esports.
Marzil himself is another veteran of the Indian Counter-Strike scene who has played for teams such as iNvictus, Entity and Optic India before switching to VALORANT in 2021. Like rite2ace, he returned to Counter-Strike recently.
Dust2 India has learnt that two members from ROG Academy, SeeK and arakyN have also been approached by the organisation and will be joining rite2ace and marzil.
Dust2 India couldn't confirm the identity of the fifth and final member of the roster but Firedup Gaming's Nox is rumoured to be joining the team to round out the roster.
In an exclusive interview with Dust2 India, rite2ace had mentioned that he was in talks with an organisation and an announcement was due soon.
In rite2ace and marzil, Grayfox will get an abundance of experience and arakyN and SeeK have both been impressive for ROG Academy, a young team who has been showing a lot of potential in the Indian scene lately, adding firepower to the team.
When asked for the comment on the matter, while Grayfox's team did not confirm or deny the report, it was stated that Grayfox are planning to sign a line-up in 2024.
The Grayfox Esports lineup is reported to be the following:
-
rite2ace
-
marzil
-
SeeK
-
arakyN
-
