Aimstars book Pakistan qualifier finals spot

The first semi-final of The Draft's Pakistan qualifiers saw Aimstars go up against Team vrn as the teams were battling it out in the BO3 match to book their spot in the final.

SR and TraNz gave vrn a 2-0 start on the T-side of Nuke but once the buy rounds began, Aimstars strung up 4 in a row with a conventional CT-Nuke approach. vrn tied things up at 4-4 but soon after, RYZN displayed a solid upper-site hold, netting himself an ace and giving Aimstars the momentum to pull off an 8-4 half in their favor.

14 rounds in, vrn's KriminaL got his first kill of the match as vrn looked to close the gap after Aimstars started strong in the second half. A couple of rounds was all that vrn could secure on their CT-side, as Aimstars closed out Nuke 13-7, going 1-0 up in the series.

The second map took us to Ancient. After trading the initial few rounds, vrn derailed Aimstars' T-side operations, locking down a solid CT-defense with SR once again stepping up with 14 frags in the first half alone, alongside Abdur with 12.

Straight out that gate, forayz and FuRy alongside ZoRo's AWP took the fight to vrn , neutralizing vrn's massive lead. Without dropping a single round on their CT-side, Aimstars closed out Ancient 13-9, knocking vrn out of the semi-finals.

While Team vrn's run might end in the semi-finals, the format of the Pakistani qualifier sees all semi-finalists move into the Group Stages, as 5 teams from the qualifiers will make it to the Group Stages along with 1 invited team.

Aimstars now sit in the finals spot waiting for their opponents from the second finals to be played between Team Mystic and PAK BOYZ.
