2ez Gaming reverse sweeps Random5
With FIREDUP Gaming booking their spot in the Grand Final of The Draft India Qualifiers and also in the Indian Group Stages, Random5 and 2ez Gaming went up against each other in the second semi-final with one spot in the Group Stages up for grabs for the winner of the second semi-final.
The second semi-final also got underway on Vertigo with 2ez Gaming starting with the T sided pistol. After losing the pistol and the following round, Random5 finally got their CT side started and they quickly took the lead of the map and as DestroyeR- took over the server, Random5 strung six rounds in a row to go 6-2 up. 2ez could manage just one gun round as they took a 9-3 lead as WolFy closed the half with a 1v2 on the B site.
A solitary dropped round on their T side saw Random5 take an easy 13-4 win on Vertigo.
Random5 shut down a 2ez A execute to take the pistol on Ancient on their CT side. 2ez got their T side going in the first gun round of the map and quickly took the lead at 3-2. 2ez on the back of ShinChAn and iFRAGEZ ended the half with a 9-3 lead with Recoilmastr closing the half with a stunning 1v2 on the A site.
Nastyyy's 1v3 gave Random5 both pistols on Ancient but like the first half, after the opening two rounds, 2ez got the ball rolling in the first gun round of the second half. It seemed like 2ez would run away with the map but Nastyyy and WolFy pulled Random5 to overtime. 2ez Gaming though hung on in overtime to take the map at 16-13 to take the series to a decider on Overpass.
Random5 started the decider on Overpass with the T sided pistol. It seemed like Random5 would run away with the half after a 4-1 start but 2ez pulled a couple of rounds back but it was Random5 ending the opening half with a 7-5 lead.
Random5 secured both pistols on Overpass as well and WolFy took an ace on the A site against the pistols from 2ez to go 9-5 up. WolFy's 1v1 on the B site saw Random5 secure double digits. Back-to-back A hits brought it down to a one round game before 2ez executed a quick B hit to tie up the game at 10-10. 2ez Gaming dropped a round to the Deagles which tied the score once again at 11-11 but a Recoilmastr 1v2 on the B site saw 2ez secure match and series point first. It was Recoilmastr once again who clutched it out to see 2ez complete the reverse sweep to secure Overpass 13-11 and take the series 2-1. WolFy's 36 kills on Overpass wasn't enough as lack of support cost him and Random5 in the end.
The win sees 2ez Gaming book their spot in The Draft India Qualifiers Grand Final against FIREDUP Gaming and they have also booked their spot in The Draft Indian Group Stages.
