Playing too many PUGS can get you banned
In a post on X, 20-year-old American player Slugy shared a humorous incident from his time on FACEIT. He revealed that he received a 24-hour ban for 'playing too many pugs.'
According to the data available on FACEIT, he began his gaming session on Sunday morning and continued until Tuesday evening, accumulating over 60 hours of uninterrupted gameplay across 78 matches. Interestingly, he didn't stop due to hunger or fatigue but rather because FACEIT imposed a 24-hour ban with the message, "cs2 - Go To Sleep."
While the incident has a comical aspect, it's imperative to highlight that FACEIT issued the ban with the player's health in mind. Gaming addiction has been associated with serious health issues such as cerebral hemorrhage, pulmonary embolism, and heart problems.
Therefore, it serves as a reminder that while we all share a lot of love for Counter-Strike, excessive gaming can have serious health implications and one should put our health above everything.
