Gods Reign's RMR dream ends
The consolidation final between Gods Reign and Trouble Makers kicked off on Trouble Maker's pick of Mirage. Getting off to a slow start on the CT side, Gods Reign saw themselves in a 0-4 deficit. Once the game progressed to the buy rounds, Gods Reign found success, closing the gap to 3-4. However, a few close rounds slipped through their fingers, and Trouble Makers regained control of the momentum.
As the half came to an end, Trouble Makers built up a commanding 8-4 lead. The outset of the second half brought bad news for Gods Reign, as they lost the pistol in the attempt of an A exec. While Ph1NNN continued to be a thorn in the sides of Trouble Makers, Gods Reign failed to get hold of the momentum. As a result, Trouble Makers closed the first map with a 13-7 victory.
The second map was a pure demolition from Gods Reign, who started fiery on the T-side of Ancient. Seemingly unhappy with his performance in the prior map, f1redup took off in style, taking matters into his own hands. A 2.00 rated performance from him with a 15-3 K-D ensured Gods Reign asserted a 10-2 lead. The game quickly reached a conclusion, as Gods Reign emerged victorious with a 13-2 score.
The decider took us to Anubis, where Gods started on the CT side. A great 3-0 start turned into a nightmare as Trouble Makers increased the pace on the T-side. Not saving in crucial rounds hurt their economy, as like Ancient, they once again failed to capitalize on the momentum. The first half ended up with a score of 8-4 favoring Trouble Makers.
Against all odds, Gods Reign fought hard on the T-side, negating their lead at 8-8. While they won the matchpoint race, Trouble Makers again tied the score, pushing the game to OT. The start of OT saw Trouble Makers carry over their momentum, clinching a flawless CT half. The game ended heartbreakingly, with Crazy_Gamer getting disconnected in the last round, as Trouble Makers sealed the game 16-13.
