Cheating allegations surface against Gods Reign's opponents
The controversy surrounding Trouble Makers has unfolded as a series of cheating allegations, drawing attention to their performance in the PGL Copenhagen Major 2024 Rest of Asia closed qualifier. The allegations gained momentum after their victory against Gods Reign and subsequent qualification for the Asia RMR.
In the consolidation final against Gods Reign, Trouble Makers eliminated Gods Reign after coming back from a 12-10 deficit on the final map. Afterward, they went on to defeat MAG, securing their qualification for the Asia RMR in an impressive Cinderella run from the Lower Brackets.
However, after the match, players from Gods Reign, MAG and more came forward with posts on X, accusing Trouble Makers of using unfair means. The IGL of Gods Reign, Crazy_Gamer, reported it to the admins of PGL, but got an unsatisfactory response.
Later today, Crazy_Gamer released the evidence against them publicly, highlighting how their decision at times looked suspicious.
Later on, additional pro players and management began to share their accounts, leveling more accusations against Trouble Makers. CycloneF highlighted how the team hit unrealistic shots despite playing with 160 ping. He also pointed out their inconsistent performance, swinging from pretty low moments to suddenly playing like pros when they were in tight spots.
The Manager/Coach of Myth Avenue Gaming (MAG) stepped up with a Tweet, asserting that every team in the Closed Qualifier suspected Trouble Makers of using Radar hacks to gain an unfair advantage.
In a statement to Dust2 India, he also expressed his concerns towards the way PGL has handled the situation.
It’s just shameful how the admins of the RMR qualifiers are handling the situation so far. We have more than concrete evidence regarding the enemy and it’s just a disgrace that the passionate people of the circuit got robbed like this.

Interestingly, players have pointed out that Trouble Makers were reported to PGL admins during the Open Qualifiers itself, but no effective action was taken. Dust2 India reached out to PGL for comments but did not receive a response at the time of publication.
