Techno: "We don’t have teams to practice against"
Arguable one of the best Counter-Strike teams going around in the Asian circuit at the moment, TheMongolz put up a squeaky clean upper bracket run in the Asia RMR to secure their spot at the first ever CS2 Major.
After this upper bracket finals against LynnVision, HLTV had a chat with HLTV where he spoke his mind about their RMR run and what the team is looking forward to.
When asked about their RMR run and their Mongolian representation Techno expressed his proudness towards his team and mentioned how their maiden Major appearance was the talking point around the region.
"I’m so happy and proud of my team. This is the fourth Major appearance for bLitz and me, and the first time for the rest of my team. I’m so proud of my team. We did it again. Of course, we’re the national pride. The first time we did it, everyone talked about that, the stickers and everything."
Techno spoke about how they had a generalized approach in terms of preparation instead of a team specific one. When asked about his time in Serbia, boot-camping in the European region Techno spoke about how the experience was new to him and he also pointed out that Asian and European playstyles weren't that different.
"This was a new experience for us, of course, the first time going to Europe and bootcamping. To be honest, I think there’s not really that much of a difference between Europe and Asia. The problem in Asia is that we don’t have teams to practice against, but in Europe there’s no problem for us."
When asked if there was going to be another boot camp in Europe before the Major, Techno shared the team's plans to head back to Mongolia and stay ahead of visa situations, considering the Mongolian visa history. Techno expressed his opinion on Asia's Major slots and stated that the region deserved three slots.
"Yeah, we just believe in ourselves and believe in our team, and we just want our region to have three slots at the Major."
