TheMongolz brought down to earth by NAVI
Following the Opening Stage, the first round of games for Day 1 of the Elimination Stages saw Natus Vincere (NAVI) go up against TheMongolz, while MOUZ took on ECSTATIC in the other BO1 game.
Mirage was the playground for the BO1 with TheMongolz starting on the T-side. The Asian team got things underway with the pistol. NAVI closed the half with a string of rounds which helped them take a two-round lead. A w0nderful quad-kill saw NAVI hit the B-site with near-perfection to secure the second half pistol. TheMongolz tied up the score at 9-9 and it looked like the Asian team were on the brink of causing a major upset but an upgraded pistol buy on a B execute saw NAVI secure double digits.
NAVI went on to close out the match at 13-10 to make sure that TheMongolz started the Elimination Stages in the 0-1 pool.
