MOUZ book IEM Chengdu semi-final spot
Starting off on the CT-side of Inferno, MOUZ kept at Liquid at bay with a strong 4-0 start. xertioN and Jimpphat stepped up on MOUZ's CT-side, restricting Liquid to a 4-8 disadvantage.
Liquid instantly took over in the second half and off a 7-rounds streak, stole MOUZ's lead and went ahead 11-9, just two rounds away from securing the first map. A single tactical timeout changed everything, as MOUZ mounted a comeback with just 2 buffer rounds and ended up cutting Liquid out of the first map 13-11, to go 1-0 up in the series.
The second map took us to Mirage where MOUZ once again got off to a 4-0 start. Liquid clawed back a few rounds here and there with NAF, cadiaN and Twistzz stepping up but MOUZ took a 9-3 first half in their favor.
Liquid won the pistol and anti-eco to start off the second half, setting up a comeback but the climb was too steep and MOUZ kept their cool to close out Mirage 13-6 with xertioN once again putting up massive impact alongside Jimpphat and Brollan.
MOUZ move into the semi-finals of IEM Chengdu 2024 while Liquid will have to fight it out in the quarter-finals.
