Astralis continue to impress
The Group B upper bracket final which was essentially a seeding match for the semi-finals, since both teams had already booked their Playoffs spot saw device's new look Astralis take on Virtus.pro (VP).
Astralis started VP's pick of Overpass with the CT-sided pistol and went on to take a big 9-3 lead. It was a dominant showing from the Danes as they closed out Overpass at 13-6 with a jabbi quad-kill which saw him top the scoreboards with 21 kills and an ADR of 112.
Astralis continued their pistol run, as they picked up the opening pistol on their pick of Vertigo to get their T-side going. It was a clinical T side from device and his boys as Astralis started 10-2 to continue their dominance. VP started their T-side with a much needed pistol and went on a four-round streak before device's AWP got Astralis' CT side going. The Danes didn't waste too much time after that as they wrapped it up at 13-7 to collect another 2-0 series win.
The win sees Astralis book their spot in the semi-finals of IEM Chengdu 2024 while VP will have to battle it out in the quarter-finals.
