Zenovi: "Riddle is 16, he is replacing a 32 y/o"
Revenge Esports recently unveiled their Counter-Strike roster officially on X. A regular name in local Counter-Strike tournaments, Revenge Esports announced Riddle as a part of their Counter-Strike roster, who is just 16 years old. Along with his IGL Zenovi, Riddle spoke to Dust2 India regarding the new venture.
As is custom, Riddle was introduced to Counter-Strike by his older brother. His brother downloaded the game when it went free to play in 2019 and Riddle developed a strong interest towards it. In the early stages Riddle's brother helped him understand the game's basics.
My brother was the reason I got introduced to the game (CS:GO), he downloaded it in 2019 when it was free to play. I joined him along and he was very helpful, teaching me the basics and stuff. CS:GO was my first online game, it was a very fun experience and I enjoyed it.

Zenovi chimed in with an interesting fact and how he first met Riddle in a deathmatch. He was impressed with how Riddle approached the game and asked him if he wanted to play regularly with them. Riddle being a man of few words, no one knew he was 16 at the time.
We usually chill in scrims after our practice and one day I met Riddle in a Deathmatch where he was consistently hitting good shots. I reached out to him and asked if we wanted to join our scrims, he was an introvert and I didn't know he was 16 at the time, he was like "yeah okay, I'll be there". Here's a fun fact - Riddle is 16 and he is replacing a 32 year-old (Bash) who couldn't make time due to his personal commitments. Riddle is very willing to learn and put efforts, I think that's all that matters.

When asked about team chemistry and who Riddle looks forward to playing with the most, he expressed his excitement towards Xellos and praised his aim. He also went on to say that both of them possessed similar characteristics, gameplay wise. He also spoke about he has his focus split on the game and his education, wanting to neglect neither of them.
There's this guy Xellos, he has very good aim and Zenovi told that he's been playing since CS 1.6. He is somewhat like me, doesn't talk much, we have a lot of similarities which made us bond really well. CS2 is my passion but I'm focused on both CS and my education, its not something that I want to neglect. I want to make sure that both paths are secure.

To conclude the conversation, Zenovi spoke about how Riddle speaks the bare minimum as and when required and with time will get adjusted to the team environment. Stating that he plays a lot of solo-queue FACEIT games, Zenovi mentioned that the mindset sometimes naturally seeps in, during practice and pugs but it is something that will easily get conditioned.
