kassad took over as head coach at BLEED in November 2023

kassad misses out on India return

3DMAX take down BLEED; book Skyesports Championship slot

BLEED went up against 3DMAX a couple of days back in the Skyesports Championship European qualifier's bo5 grand-final for a slot in Skyesports' $200,000 USD LAN in Mumbai, India.

If BLEED were to emerge victorious, it wouldn't have been their coach kassad's first Counter-Strike outing to India. kassad's history with Indian Counter-Strike goes all the way back to 2014 when Team Wolf became the first ever Indian team appear at a Counter-Strike Major. Unfortunately, kassad won't be returning to India, as 3DMAX took down BLEED to confirm their LAN slot.

ESL held an Indian qualifier for Cologne 2014, giving one Indian team a direct Major invite. After Team Wolf's win against Virtual Impact in the finals, they qualified for the ESL One Cologne 2014 and kassad was brought in to take over coaching responsibilities. With not a lot of prep time, kassad and Team Wolf, covered the basics before heading to Cologne.

Team Wolf however, went down fighting in the group stage after back to back losses against the prime Ninjas in Pyjamas lineup and HellRaisers. kassad was also the centerpiece of the NiKo deal in 2014 when talks were held to bring in the superstar rifler to the Team Wolf lineup. NiKo's career was still at a developmental stage and was looking for any sort of experience at the time.

This year 2024, marks 10 years since kassad's stint with Team Wolf and Team Wolf's ESL One Cologne 2024 appearance.
