3DMAX rip through BLEED, all set for Mumbai trip
It was BLEED going up against 3DMAX in the BO5 Grand Final of the Skyesports Championship 2024 Europe Closed Qualifier with a spot in the LAN event, in Mumbai India, up for grabs for the winner.
3DMAX started Ancient with an incredible 9-0 lead on their CT side and went on to start with a 10-round CT half. BLEED fought back on their own defensive half but it was 3DMAX who made sure hampus and co. didn't get any closer as the started the series with a 13-7 win. Nuke saw 3DMAX start with another big lead, going 8-4 up on their T side. Two rounds was all that 3DMAX dropped in the second half on Nuke as they locked in a 13-6 win with their captain Maka leading from the front, topping the scoresheets with 22 kills.
After starting slow in the opening two maps, BLEED put up a five-round defence on Anubis which helped them lock in their first map win of the series, taking a 13-10 win with jkaem and hampus making sure BLEED weren't done in three maps.
Inferno saw the French team pick up eight rounds in a row to start with a four round lead on the T side and a flawless CT side saw 3DMAX take a 13-4 win to secure the series 3-1.
With the win, 3DMAX becomes the seventh team to confirm their spot in the Skyesports Championship 2024 main event, which is a $200,000 LAN event set to take place in Mumbai, India in July 2024. Other teams confirmed for the main event are The MongolZ, FURIA, Eternal Fire, BetBoom, Aurora and Revenant. The eighth and final team will be decided from the Indian Qualifier.
