Gods Reign eliminate Carnival Gaming
The first map took us to Anubis where Gods Reign started on the T-side and flew off to a 6-0 lead. Dropping just a couple of rounds, Gods Reign secured a massive 10-2 first half. Carnival Gaming won the pistol and ant-eco to start the second half, showing signs of a comeback attempt but was cut short as Gods Reign closed out Anubis 10-4.
Carnival Gaming lacked in terms of individual performances, on the contrary Gods Reign's Ph1NNN and R2B2 put up ratings of 1.71 and 1.60 on the map, dropping 17 and 19 frags a piece.
Going into Inferno, Gods Reign once again got off to a good start, winning the pistol with an immediate conversion but Carnival Gaming didn't let things get out of hand this time, clawing back buy rounds to keep things competitive. Nevertheless, Gods Reign still managed to slide an 8-4 half in their favor.
Ember and clouda stepped up on Carnival Gaming's T-side at a time that seemed too late when Gods Reign had four match points under their belt at 12-8 but still managed to push the game into overtime. Disaster struck for Carnival Gaming in overtime as their executes were met with stacked sites.
Both teams put up flawless CT-halves in the first overtime, calling in another overtime. A triple entry sequence from Ph1NNN in banana which he converted into an ace raised Gods Reign's morale pushing them to match point at 18-15.
A hard fought double-overtime netted Gods Reign a 19-16 win, wrapping up the series 2-0. With this loss Carnival Gaming end their Skyesports Championship India qualifier campaign as Gods Reign stay alive, going into the lower-bracket final.
