Akros anti-cheat flagged the Swede

19-year old Swedish Counter-Strike player joel is no stranger to the limelight. The youngster has been the point of talk for all the wrong reasons with various match-fixing and cheating allegations. joel was even the subject of an ESIC investigation which had led to his suspension.

In a recent outing at the CCT Season 2 Europe Season 7, joel once again was the forefront of attention. He was flagged and banned by Akros anti-cheat, as soon as he joined the server to play for BC.Game against B8. BC.Game were allowed to play the first map with a substitute but were disqualified from the event.

Shortly after which, BC.GAME announced that joel would be removed from their Counter-Strike roster with immediate effect following the circumstances of his ban and investigation.

BC.Game strongly opposes cheating in any form, and for that reason, we have removed Joel from the current roster. Despite previous suspicions, we chose to place our trust in a young player who had made previous missteps. At this moment, we cannot provide further comments because, like you, we are in the dark.
BC.GAME's statement on the issue

In a conversation with HLTV, GRID, the parent company of the league disbarred any possibility of a false positive. Akros was known for it's notorious incompetence during the Copenhagen Major's RMR qualifiers. The event was allegedly plagued with cheaters. Getting flagged by such an anti-cheat has further affirmed the community of his alleged guilt.
