Gods Reign reverse sweep to win 8th Masters Title
The Grand Final of The Dust2 India - 1XBET Masters 13 kicked off between 7 time Masters winners Gods Reign and a team looking to find their debut title, Victores Sumus.
The first map took us to Nuke, where reigning champions looked shaky from the get go, trailing behind 5-7 on the CT side. The shift to the T-side only exposed more grey areas, as they ended up losing 13-7 as BENZENE was instrumental in giving Victores Sumus the early lead.
While the second map Anubis started off in a similar fashion for Gods Reign, they were able to find the resurgence this time around. From a 1-5 deficit, they brought themselves back to an even score of 6-6, and ended up closing the map with a 13-9 score line in the second half.
Ancient delivered as the final map, as it saw neck-to-neck competition in the first half, with both teams claiming a tie at 6-6. However, Gods Reign changed the course of the game on their T-side, ultimately clinching a 13-7 win to secure their 8th Masters title as reV3nnnn and Ph1NNN powered up when their team needed them the most.
