BLAST bans SnapTap
Valve recently put out a blog post addressing Razor's SnapTap controversy. The feature basically eliminated room for mechanical error when counter-strafing. In their blog post, Valve took a stance against the feature, banning it from official game servers.
Following Valve's announcement, prominent Counter-Strike tournament organizer BLAST has also come forth with their stance towards the feature. In a conversation with HLTV, BLAST has revealed that they too would not allow SnapTap starting from Fall Showdown. Valve also made jump-throw binds unusable but BLAST have made no mentions of what the future holds for jump-throw binds.
Jump-throw scripts are currently allowed as per BLAST's Counter-Strike 2 rulebook.
While BLAST have made their stance clear, the nature of the change including it's enforcement and implementation is not clear yet because as of now, SnapTap and other hardware automation can be detected only inside Valve's official game servers.
Due to the recent update and stance from Valve, BLAST will not allow the use of the Snap Tap and SOCD or similar assistants that produce the same outcome for Fall Showdown and all future BLAST events.
