APAC RMR: East Asia closed qualifier preview

With Glamour's win over SUBUTAI, the East Asian open qualifier concluded today, determining the final list of teams that will battle it out in an eight-team double-elimination bracket, sending only the winner to the Asia-Pacific RMR, that leads to the Perfect World Shanghai 2024 Major.

The East-Asian closed qualifier will begin on 28th August 2024 and will run for three days.

The double-elimination bracket starts with eight teams in a bo1 setting and holds the format moving forward into the upper-bracket semi-finals and finals. All lower-bracket matches (elimination matches) will play out as bo3s. The grand-final will also run a bo3 setting. The winner of the grand-final books an Asia-Pacific RMR slot.

Chinggis Warriors, ATOX and GR were invited directly to the closed qualifier based on the Valve Regional Standings. Fighting their way through the rocky roads of the East-Asian open qualifier, IHC, THE, -72c, NomadS and Glamour have rounded off the final set of teams for the closed qualifier.
