Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 Asia RMR Closed Qualifier: Team list

With the Asia RMR Open Qualifiers coming to an end earlier today, we have our eight teams who will fight it out in the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 Asia RMR Closed Qualifier. The Asia RMR Closed Qualifier will be a double elimination bracket taking place between Aug 28 - Aug 30 with the winner booking themselves a place in the Asia RMR.

For the Indian Counter-Strike fans, there will be two Indian teams to follow, with Gods Reign and True Rippers having booked their place through direct invites. Additionally there will be a couple of more Indian players in the mix, as part of a mixed Indo-Russian team, Niory Esports, who also made their way through the Open Qualifiers.

The Indian representatives, Gods Reign and True Rippers were the first two teams to book their places in the Asia RMR Closed Qualifier, getting direct invites thanks to their Valve rankings.

The remaining six teams have all made their way through the Asia RMR Open Qualifier. Kyrgyzstani team Forward were the first team from the Asia RMR Open Qualifier to make it to the Closed Qualifier, after Niory forfeited their quarter-final game due to power outage.

BnTeT's Alter Ego cleaned up Philippines squad ONi in their quarter-final to move to the Closed Qualifier as well, with BnTeT and co. closing out their quarter-final series with a 13-0 on Dust2.

The second Kyrgyzstani team, Revenge moved to the Closed Qualifiers after getting past Indian team Victores Sumus, who dropped to the lower bracket.

The Lower Bracket had a couple of Indian representatives in Victores Sumus and Niory Esports' n1kace and BuNTz. While Niory picked up a comfortable 2-0 past the Thai team to make it to the closed qualifier, Victores Sumus stumbled against ONi, going missing on the third map which ended their Closed Qualifier dreams.

The Asia RMR Closed Qualifier action kicks off on August 28, 2024 with the opening round of games set to get underway from 12:30 IST.
