ATOX book closed qualifier grand-final
Taking on Chinggis Warriors in the consolidation final of the East Asian closed qualifier for the Asia-Pacific RMR leading up to the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024, ATOX started on the T-side of Nuke with an explosive 7-0 start. MiQ, dobu and Annihilation picked off defenders with east, giving them a ton of map control to work with.
Despite recovering towards the end, Chinggis Warriors conceded the first half 4-8. A Zilkenberg 3k set Chinggis Warriors up for a 3-rounds streak to start off the second half and close in on ATOX's lead but ATOX held their ground and closed out Nuke 13-7 to go 1-0 up in the series.
ATOX got off to a strong start on the T-side of Ancient but timely damage control from Chinggis Warriors saw them break even 6-6 at half time. With fury5k and NEUZ stepping up, Chinggis Warriors put up 4 rounds in a row to start the second half, building up a 10-6 lead.
ATOX switched up their game and the change of pace flummoxed Chinggis Warriors, as the latter caught up and closed out Ancient 13-10 off of a 6-rounds streak. With this win ATOX have set up their grand-final match against GR, now just 1 win away from an RMR appearance.
