The MongolZ sent to Last Chance Stage by Spirit
After a previous head to head at IEM Cologne 2024, where The MongolZ beat Spirit in two straight maps, the two locked horns once again at ESL Pro League Season Season 20 Lower Semi-Final.
The BO3 kicked off on The MongolZ's pick of Ancient, where they accumulated 7 rounds on their T-side, courtesy of a masterclass from 910 and his 1.85 rated half. While Spirit looked to bounce back on their buy rounds in the second half, The MongolZ managed to close out the map with a 13-9 score.
However, The MongolZ were blown away on the second map Anubis. Reduced to only 4 rounds on their CT side, the game ended with a 13-4 score in the favour of Spirit, as they went flawless in the second half. donk stood on the forefront of the charts, with a K-D of 21-6.
After going back on forth, The MongolZ looked in control at the outset of the decider map Nuke, as they led 6-1. However, that lead quickly crumbled as Spirit reached matchpoint first at 12-9. While The MongolZ fought back, narrowing the scores down to 12-11, they failed to pass the last hurdle, losing the map 11-13.
