The MongolZ send BIG home

Reverse sweep from the Asian team

The lone Asian representatives at the ESL Pro League Season 20 Playoffs, The MongolZ, started their campaign in the playoffs against BIG in a BO3 encounter, which kicked off on their pick of Ancient.

Time denied Techno a 1v3 to kick off Ancient and it was a four round lead for BIG to get things underway. The MongolZ answered back with eight rounds in a row to end a strong half but the Germans turned it around on their T side as it was a final round quad kill on the MAC-10 from tabseN that pushed the map to overtime. Krimbo with the late impact in overtime saw BIG steal a 22-19 win to draw first blood in the series.

Techno and Senzu made sure The MongolZ started Nuke on a strong note, once again taking an 8-4 lead. Like the opening map, BIG fought back once again, this time on their CT half but The MongolZ held on for a 13-11 win. The decider on Mirage saw crucial clutches from bLitz and 910 which propelled them to a 9-3 lead on their T side and they closed it out at 13-9 to reverse sweep the series and knock BIG out from the ESL Pro League Season 20.

The MongolZ will take on Eternal Fire next in their Ro12 game at the Playoffs.
